Comparative Pharmacology: MDMA, Psilocybin, and Ketamine

In this vlog, we will explore a content module from my course titled ‘Breakthrough Psychedelics: MDMA, Psilocybin, and Ketamine‘. This module provides a summary discussion comparing and contrasting the pharmacology and clinical characteristics of MDMA, psilocybin, and ketamine.

The course aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of Breakthrough Psychedelics, starting with the scientific basics and then delving into each breakthrough psychedelic in detail. It also covers advanced topics such as treatment planning, interaction with psychiatric medications, and the use of psychedelics in combination.

Don’t worry if the content in this vlog feels overwhelming. This module is from a later part of the course. By the time you have completed the introductory and substance-specific categories, you will have a better grasp of the information I am presenting here.

The course is designed for a wide range of audiences and can benefit anyone looking to deepen their pharmacologic knowledge of Breakthrough Psychedelics. It is particularly helpful for therapists and mental health professionals, as it offers 7.0 Continuing Education (CE) credits upon completion of the course.

The course is divided into six main sections or categories, consisting of a total of 39 short video modules ranging from 5-25 minutes in length. In total, the course provides approximately seven and a half hours of online home study content. Each section includes learning objectives and concludes with a knowledge check or quiz to reinforce key concepts.
