Why I Choose Cannabis Over Alcohol: The Cali Sober Way — Bud & Blossom

I used to be heavily dependent on alcohol, drinking every night in an attempt to escape the exhaustion and stress of the day. However, I soon realized that alcohol wasn’t helping me at all and was, in fact, negatively affecting my health. I felt trapped and needed to make a change to break free from this destructive cycle.

Upon a suggestion, I decided to give cannabis a try as an alternative to alcohol. To my surprise, amazing things started happening in my life. As I became healthier and more empowered, I realized that the changes in my life were not mere coincidences, but rather a result of my own efforts and self-improvement. Cannabis became a tool that helped me stay focused and amplify my intentionality in all aspects of my life. The impact it had on me brought tears of joy and transformed my life in profound ways.

Within a year of embracing cannabis, my quality of life improved significantly. I took control of my health, got engaged, received a promotion, and felt a newfound sense of confidence and self-worth. The positive changes I experienced were so profound that I made the decision to quit my job and dedicate myself to learning and sharing about cannabis wellness.

Now, many years later, I am deeply immersed in the world of cannabis wellness and coaching. I am grateful to have found a healthy way to relax, enhance my experiences, and have fun by choosing cannabis over alcohol.

How Do We Talk About This?

Some refer to this lifestyle as “Cali Sober.” Although the term has a loose definition, it generally refers to individuals who choose cannabis and plant medicines over alcohol and other drugs. It’s not a strict black and white concept, and that’s part of its appeal.

Personally, I do not drink alcohol at all. Instead, I opt for cannabis in moments when I want to relax, relieve stress, or celebrate. I appreciate all the different methods of consuming cannabis that I have tried so far. This plant brings me joy and also has a positive impact on others. It has a way of bringing people together and sparking realizations without the negative consequences associated with alcohol.

For me, “Cali Sober” means being accountable for the substances and aids I choose to align with as I navigate through life. It also signifies a preference for plant medicines over alcohol. In a society where alcohol is considered the socially acceptable choice, consciously choosing an alternative lifestyle speaks volumes about personal values and priorities.
